Hydrangeas ... a long time friend of mine, was an upscale salon/boutique on the west side of Kalamazoo, Michigan back in the 90's. Hey, how many of you knew that I'm a licensed cosmetologist? 😎

Back by popular demand, and my love of all things beautiful, Hydrangeas Boutique is a right hand extension of the boutique that was inside Chicken Coop Treasures brick and mortar a few years back.

Hi, I'm Robin ...

I'm 58 years old and I've been a licensed cosmetologist for over 35 years and a believer in good skincare for as long as I can remember. Once I had my sons, a wee bit ago, I decided to become self employed so that their time was my most precious commodity. Now they are raised and chasing their own dreams in the world. Yay mom!

I spend my days operating this successful online boutique and slinging hedge ball oil. Why? Because both are lucrative and I've grown accustomed to a way of life that I'm not willing to give up. I also believe in Pomifera and the story behind the Osage Orange with all my heart.

I was raised by parents that were brilliant in their teachings. Blue collar, smart, creative and savvy to the ways and offerings of nature. We had a 4 acre garden growing up, mom milked a cow twice a day by hand, and we had one car.  My job was to stock the freezer with fish on daily fishing expeditions to the farm pond across the street growing up; I have a pond in my front yard to this day and still love to fish with a worm and a bobber! 🎣

I was the black sheep that went off to the big city in my youth and came home with the love of high society! Much to the pleasure of my parents, I remained calmed by the ground I walked on, rejuvenated by a day's physical labor and empowered by the projects I cultivated.

I love wine, fashion and fine jewelry, growing things in the dirt, and fostering every stray animal that you can imagine along the way. I live in peace on 14 acres of solitude nestled in the heart of farm country, nearly surrounded by fresh water. You can't take that outta a girl's heart and soul.
